Multi-skilled Operatives

£21k - £25k per annum, depending on experience

Location - Basildon, Essex

We have set up a factory to build modular housing from Cross Laminated Timber. Essentially this means a house is divided into modules with each module being built complete in terms of internals. A finished module looks like any room you are sitting in with all electrics, plumbing, painting, tiling and even carpets fitted. The finished modules are then transported to site where they are assembled together and the externals are then finished.

We are looking for Multi-skilled Operatives to help assemble the modules. Tasks will be similar to a range of DIY activities and will include, manual handling, use of hand and power tools, working at height, carpentry and assembly of large panels, fitting and finishing.

If the below sounds like you, then we want to hear from you:

  • Are you a hands on person and enjoy DIY?
  • Do you enjoy factory production and want to feel like you have achieved something?
  • Are you a team player?
  • Are you able to adapt to a busy pressurised factory environment?
  • Do you have strong attention to detail and want to get things right first time?
  • Are you self-motivated and flexible with a can do attitude?

The work is varied and challenging with excellent prospects for the right people, as full training will be provided to enhance your skills. Experience of working in a factory/production/manufacturing environment is preferred. Good DIY skills are a distinct advantage.
